Closet ReDesign & Bathroom reveal

Well, folks I'm back - I didn't fall off the face of the earth or anything just had some internet trouble and I've been busy pretty much every weekend for the past couple of months.

One of the projects I was working on was redesigning my parents' walk in closet.  It's never functioned properly for t hem and they even had the racks collapse a few times which of course was a disaster.

Here's what we started with - a drawing of the space and measurements along with the components we planned to use (we used Martha Stewart's line from Home Depot - some of the pieces are discontinued now so I won't link to them but you can find similar components searching on Home Depot or Lowes' websites).

Here are a few before shots - I bet lots of people have a closet that looks like this and they think it will be too expensive or too much trouble to deal with.  Overall the cost was under $2,000 and we installed everything ourselves (although it was a pain at certain points)

After taking some before shots and clearing out the space (this is a great time to donate anything you don't wear to Goodwill!) - we ordered everything and patiently (well not me because I'm not patient) waited for the boxes to arrive.

We might still replace the lights with some fancier flush mount crystal fixtures at some point but doesn't it look amazing?

I might sneak over there and take some shots with all of the clothes and shoes back in the closet but for now I'll just leave you with a few photos of my parents' remodeled bathroom.  It was done a while back but I hadn't shared the photos yet - I'm really jealous, isn't it AMAZING??  I helped pick out the finishes.  I dream of being able to pick everything out for my own bathroom....and closet (again)....and kitchen....ahh I really need to play the lotto...

These stunning mirrors are HomeGoods finds!  They're perfect for the space and didn't cost a million dollars.

I'd do anything for a niche in my shower...I hate having to use those hanging metal rack things. One day I will have one!

Aren't these hooks cute?  My mom found them and asked me to paint them to fit the space.  Nice to add a bit of an antique vibe to a brand new space.

Have a great week!!
