Do you dream of treasure hunting?

I couldn't sleep last night - I kept having dreams of finding amazing treasures at really great prices...I think I might need to get out more...

I'm in a rambling kind of mood so please bear with me...

Anyway...so I haven't been to an estate sale in a while (hurricanes, life and all).  There was a great one this morning in my town.  Which pretty much never happens.  I was #6 in line of a bajillion people.  A very nice older gentleman was in front of me chatting away and reminded me so much of my grandfather who passed away a few years ago.  Definitely a good vibe.

Until the sale started...and I was knocked around like a pinball.  People are just way too serious.  I managed to get a few things but it wasn't easy!

Love the printer tray - I've been wanting one for a while but wanted to wait for a decent price.  I think I'll use the metal dish for beading (I might start selling my beaded necklaces in my Etsy shop so keep an eye out if you're into that sort of thing).

After the sale I decided to check out a new store called The Vintage Marketplace in Glenwood.  They're only open one weekend out of the month and I missed their grand opening.  Definitely a cool little shop.  I tried to snap a few photos without getting too much in the way.  Please excuse my cell phone photos - when I set out this morning I didn't think I would see so many great vignettes!

I ended up buying a spool and a little blue vintage book with crowns decorating the cover.

Next, I decided since I was half-way to Frederick I might as well check out Lucketts Design House - decorated for the holidays.  Amazing.  If you need holiday decorating ideas you really should check it out - it's open tomorrow too (November 11).

I also went to the Lucketts store (I'm not sure how you could pass by without going inside...maybe that's just me...)

The horse head is kind of creepy-looking but awesome at the same time...

I got to talk to my favorite 'key lady'.  Ms. Ruth - she brings back keys from Germany and had a bunch of great new keys.  It was really nice to talk to her for a few minutes while I searched for keys to add to my collection.  I just love that her initials are the same as my Dad's.  I also found this great little silver dish with amazing detail on the sides.

I also stopped at My Wit's End - a little Antique shop that I've passed by a million times on my way home from Lucketts.  I bought two little silverplate spoons.  I'm not sure why.  Apparently, I've started a new collection.

Here are my treasues from Glenwood, Lucketts and My Wit's End:

How cute is that ginormous crown?  No idea what I'm going to do with it.  I really need to start following my rule of 'One in - One out' (if I buy something than I need to donate/sell/get rid of something else)...or someone *might* just submit me for Hoarders...

Happy Treasure Hunting!
